When Wendy Bzduch approached me to design a logo for the Dennis Bzduch Memorial Golf Tournament, I collaborated closely with her and her daughter to create an identity that honored Dennis’s legacy while capturing the spirit of the event and its community.
The final logo blends core elements of the tournament—golf imagery and the town’s iconic sea serpent mascot, featured in the course’s branding—resulting in a bold, memorable mark designed to resonate with participants and supporters alike.

Designing a Meaningful and Versatile Event Logo
Concept Development, Illustration, and Production Design
The logo development began with hand-drawn sketches to refine the sea serpent’s form and overall composition. From there, I built the final design digitally, incorporating a central golf ball, crossed clubs, and the tournament name to create a cohesive, balanced emblem.
The logo was executed entirely in vector format, allowing for flexibility across applications and easy color or layout adjustments. To ensure consistency across physical materials, I also developed an alternate, simplified version optimized for embroidery on hats—maintaining visual impact while meeting production constraints.
