Project Overview:

 

Larta Institute’s website needed a modern, user-friendly digital presence that clearly communicates the organization’s mission, programs, and impact. I led the visual and structural redesign, focusing on usability, accessibility, and storytelling to engage innovators, partners, and stakeholders across Larta’s ecosystem. 

 

The project involved UX strategy, page layout design, and visual systems development. I designed and implemented key page templates directly in WordPress, ensuring the final site faithfully matched the original Illustrator designs. Collaboration with the technical team was limited to troubleshooting or complex functionality, keeping the design execution fully under my control.

The Challenge:

 

Larta’s website had grown organically over time, resulting in a complex, multi-audience site with inconsistent layouts, unclear navigation, and limited visual cohesion. The organization needed a digital experience that could clearly communicate its mission and programs while remaining scalable for future growth.

Design Approach:

 

I focused on creating a cohesive, user-centered digital framework that strengthened both usability and brand consistency:

  • Designed and implemented layouts and components in Illustrator and WordPress, maintaining precise visual fidelity. 

  • Streamlined navigation and content structure to make multi-program content intuitive for diverse audiences. 

  • Developed a scalable digital design system—including typography, spacing, and modular components—to ensure consistent branding across the site. 

  • Consulted with the technical team only as needed for advanced functionality or troubleshooting.
