Revitalizing the Arc Parchment
A Quarterly Newsletter Transformation
The Arc Parchment is a quarterly newsletter created to keep stakeholders informed and connected to the local Arc community. It features updates, news, and highlights, along with heartfelt stories and vibrant photos. The newsletter serves as a vital tool to share the organization’s accomplishments, upcoming events, and the broader impact of their work, ensuring that supporters remain engaged and invested in the Arc's mission.
When I joined the Parchment's design was outsourced, incurring significant costs each year. I worked closely with the head of PR to bring the layout and design process in-house, saving over $3,000 annually. This shift not only reduced costs but also provided greater flexibility for accurate, timely updates. The newsletter became a clear and reliable communication tool, strengthening donors' connection to the local Arc community every quarter.

Bringing the Arc Parchment In-House: A Quarterly Newsletter Transformation
The Arc Parchment was my first major project as a layout artist, marking a significant milestone in my design career. I collected assets, carefully curated layouts for stories and photos, and designed the newsletter with readability and visual appeal in mind. The Arc Parchment was also a mailer, so I ensured the design adhered to postal standards without compromising its aesthetic integrity. Additionally, I adapted to new branding guidelines to stay on brand, a critical requirement for this state-funded organization. By balancing creativity with adherence to standards, I maintained consistency and professionalism throughout the design process, ensuring alignment with the organization’s identity and mission.
